PPR: 25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks

Baby Size: 13 1/2 inches and a pound and a half

Total weight gain: +3

Maternity clothes? Some

Sleep: Good, mostly!

Best moment this week: Getting to hear that little heartbeat this morning. 156 bpm
Also, the 'swoosh' noises of her kicking. The nurse was having a hard time getting the heartbeat because she was moving and kicking so much! lol

Miss Anything? Nope!

Food cravings: Still drinking my milk every night. I did find a food that is wonderful!!! Almond Joy Cupcakes...they're awesome!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing.

Gender: GIRL!!! Little Miss Hadley

Labor Signs: None. Let's keep those away for another 2-3 months!

Symptoms: Back aches while sleeping, still and some swelling in my hands.

Belly Button in or out? It's getting close, but in right now.

Wedding rings on or off? Off

Mood: Excited!!

Looking forward to: Getting a phone call this afternoon telling me that I DO NOT HAVE GESTATIONAL DIABETES!!!! And, I am so happy to have that test over with! :)

Also, on a side note: I emailed Joss & Main and asked them about the rug and they're sending me another one and letting me exchange the one I have. So, fingers crossed, that it will be a bit more gray and tan!

Monday Ramblings

The GOOD: We hosted a Young Marrieds Valentines Party at our house Saturday night and it was great!!! We laughed hard and had a lot of fun with friends. Pictures are on Instagram (candiussery), follow me!

Also, I am involved in our Children's Ministry at church and I am planning a service, beginning to end, for this Sunday. I am so excited! I have never planned an entire service, from beginning prayer to dismissal! Thank you Lord for new opportunities and growth!

The BAD: Well, we got our rug in for Hadley's nursery and what do you know...it's red! Not even close to the gray-tan that was advertised. I am so disappointed. I knew when I bought it that I couldn't get my money back (they do take returns for store credit). And, being fair, it does say colors vary, however, when they say it is handmade, why would they not hand-make it a little bit more like the picture advertised and a little LESS reddish-brown. What irritates me the most, is that I could have purchased a rug of that color for less money than what I did this one, I paid more because I "thought" I was getting the gray hide.

Lesson learned. Don't buy cowhide rugs online.

Now, I'm back to square one and have to find a rug for Hadley's room, because the rug I bought will not work in there now.

Oh well...first world problems, right?!

And The UGLY: Now, on the home front...we have to sand some sheetrock where we added a wall and add crown molding and baseboards to the master bedroom and nursery, then we'll be ready to paint the inside of the house.

All rooms are going to be painted Benjamin Moore White Dove. Can't wait! It's going to look so great with our dark hardwoods.

Also coming up, I'm going to be applying a faux marble paint job to our existing laminate countertops to make sure that I like the white countertops. (We will not be doing real marble when we get new countertops.) And, new tile floor in the kitchen, dining, and laundry room.

More GOOD: Because I don't want to end on a bad or ugly note: I hope everyone had a great weekend! We got our kitchen cabinet doors painted and installed, pictures coming soon.

I have my doctors appointment in the morning, I'll be 25 weeks! Pregnancy Progress Report, tomorrow. This is a big one. I have to do the sugar test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. Looking forward to getting that part over with. I'm not a fan of needles (who is?!?!) but I also don't want to have diabetes because that's not good for the baby or me. So, I'm just praying that all will be fine!

Hopefully Craigslist will work in my favor and I won't lose any money on the rug.

As soon as the house gets painted, I will start working on getting the nursery furnished and decorated. I can't wait to document all of that here!

Total weight gain: I haven't weighed this week, it won't be pretty!

Maternity clothes? Some

Sleep: I have good nights and bad nights. I got maybe 5 hours of sleep last night.

Best moment this week: Three different people (strangers) have
asked when I was due or if I know what I'm having! It's exciting!!! Starting to
look like a baby-mama!

Miss Anything? No way! Not one thing could ever replace this!
Movement: Oh yeah! This girl is moving ALL.THE.TIME!

Food cravings: Milk. Every single night, I have to have a glass of milk!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I tried fish tacos yesterday, but
I think the queasiness may not have been pregnancy-related.

Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor Signs: None. (thank God)

Symptoms: Still back aches in the middle of the night while sleeping.
But, other than that, I feel great!

Belly Button in or out? Still an innie

Mood: So, so happy! I have the best husband! And I cannot wait to add
this little lady to our home and hearts!

And, getting to hear that little heartbeat again!

Pregnancy Progress Report: 23

Funny side note: I was trying to take a video of her kicking and end up taking a
picture instead. I haven't done maternity pictures yet, so here's a little bump preview!

How far along? 23 Weeks

Baby Size: Large Mango

Total weight gain: -4

Maternity clothes? Some

Sleep: I've been sleeping a lot this week...like going to bed at 7pm, wake up for
couple of hours and go back to sleep. Then, not wanting to get up for work.

Best moment this week: Playing on my iPad and it jumped. She kicked it. I
can watch her kick through my stomach now and it's awesome! Still not painful!

Miss Anything? Nothing at all!

Movement: A lot...not only can others feel it, but it is now visible!

Food cravings: Yes. I had my first food craving: CHOCOLATE!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor Signs: None. (thank God)

Symptoms: Back ache while sleeping sometimes. I finally had to break down and
take some meds for a headache. (I hate taking medicine) Sometimes I have sharp pains
in my lower abdomen, by my hip bones. I think this is ligament pains.

Belly Button in or out? Innie

Wedding rings on or off? Off

Mood: I'm so excited, but I'm nervous too!

Looking forward to: Seeing that sweet little face and holding her...not
having to worry about the epidural anymore. Seriously, that part freaks me out
 more than the rest.

Oh, and my next appointment is the sugar test for gestational diabetes. Please pray that I don't fail, thanks.
